Not Getting Pregnant? You May Be Pre- or Post-Receptive

The Endometrial Receptivity Assay (ERA) test, developed by Igenomix, is a new way to determine your personal window of implantation (WOI) to help increase your chance of a successful embryo transfer.  The test is indicated in cases of patients who have experienced multiple implantation failures.  Once a biopsy of endometrial tissue is collected, it is sent to Igenomix for analysis which will provide customized insight as to when progesterone should be introduced.

At this time, there are insufficient studies to provide statistically empirical data regarding its value, however, current experience in some practices is encouraging.  Not all programs have adopted the ERA test, so talk to your doctor to learn more about their thoughts and how the ERA test may be of value to you.
