Infertility is difficult to contend with, but it’s made even more challenging by the often high-cost options needed to build your family, like adoption or IVF. Unfortunately, most treatments don’t qualify for insurance coverage in many states.
Thankfully, frozen donor egg cycles are one of the more affordable options available for individuals unable to conceive with their own eggs.
We have developed financial plans to get your fertility journey started on the right foot. Let’s start by reviewing why frozen donor eggs may be your best choice.
For many, IUI and IVF treatments aren’t viable solutions due to premature ovarian failure, genetic disease, or low ovarian reserves. In situations like these, using donor eggs can be the best choice for building a family.
Once you’ve decided to use an egg donor, you’ll need to choose between fresh and frozen eggs. This might seem like a complicated decision, but it doesn’t have to be.
While fresh and frozen eggs have similar success rates, there’s a much lower chance of cycle cancellation during a frozen cycle. Since the eggs will have already been collected, you don’t have to rely on cycle synchronization.
In general, a frozen donor egg cycle is more affordable than using fresh eggs, mainly due to the lack of cycle synchronization needed between an egg donor and recipient. Families are able to save even more thanks to Donor Egg Bank USA’s financial plans. We also offer a variety of financing options through our fertility financing partners. Every loan program is designed specifically for you. Once you’re approved, we’ll work closely with your Fertility Loan Specialists to ensure your funds are secured.
Finances are not a one-size-fits-all topic; every family has its own budgetary constraints.
We believe in providing our families with all of the tools needed to find success during their donor egg treatment cycles. That’s why we offer several financial plans with different levels of inclusions and coverages based on your needs.
Our most popular and reliable payment plan is the Assured Refund Plan. This plan guarantees you will bring home a baby or you will receive a 100% plan fee refund. It offers a gold star in terms of financial protection, covering not only the eggs but also the treatment expenses required for up to six donor egg IVF cycles. It even includes unlimited frozen embryo transfers.
Plus, there’s no obligation to complete all the cycles. If you choose to end treatment early, you will still be eligible for a 50% refund.
The Multi Egg Lot Refund Plan is similar to the Assured Refund Plan; however, it does not include your clinic’s treatment fees and it allows up to four egg lots. If you have fertility insurance or are working with a fertility practice that does not participate in our Assured Refund Plan, then the Multi Egg Lot Refund Plan could be your best choice.
The total cost of this plan is $30,000, and includes up to four egg lots of mature eggs. If you are not one of the 92% of individuals who bring home a baby after using all four egg lots, you will receive a 100% plan refund from us; however, you will not receive a refund from your fertility practice.
Our Single Cycle Plan combines eggs and treatment to bring you a one-time attempt at having a baby. You’ll receive one egg lot and one treatment cycle. The plan includes monitoring, egg warming, embryo culture, and transfer. We have negotiated preferred rates with your provider and reduced the cost of our eggs to make a full cycle of treatment more affordable. The great thing about the Single Cycle Plan is that we guarantee you a blastocyst for transfer. If a blastocyst is not available, we will cover the cost of another full cycle (including the eggs and treatment).
The Double Egg Lot Plan provides two egg lots and guarantees two or more blastocysts. Some individuals want more eggs and/or the ability to inseminate eggs from two different sperm sources. This plan costs $27,500. If you need more than two egg lots, you can receive a $1,500 discount for every additional egg lot you purchase when you check out with the Double Egg Lot Plan.
If you’re interested in acquiring one egg lot without treatment, this may be the right financial plan for you. You will receive one egg lot of mature eggs for $14,500 which includes our “one or more blastocyst embryo” guarantee. While we have a fixed fee for purchasing only the eggs, it may be less expensive to choose one of the plans above, since they provide various refunds or treatment guarantees. This plan is best suited for those whose insurance covers cycle fees.
Some physicians are recommending the use of PGT-A to determine the euploidy of an embryo. While we don’t encourage PGT-A without physician recommendation, we do know it can be stressful if blastocysts are achieved that are aneuploid. In this case, we offer no refunds or replacements. To protect you against this likelihood, our Euploid Quality Guarantee Rider ensures you will have at least one euploid embryo and we will give you up to three egg lots in the quest for a euploid embryo. We do limit the number of reference labs, given the variance in quality. You will need to work with your fertility practice to ensure your biopsy is sent to an approved reference lab (as listed in our agreement). The Euploid Quality Guarantee Rider can be added to our Single or Double Egg lot Plans. It guarantees one or more euploid embryo(s) in up to three egg lots.
Our goal is to help our patients build the family they’ve been dreaming of without the stress of undue financial strain. No matter what type of donor egg journey you’re hoping to take, we have a variety of financial plan options to help you afford them.
